Required Documentation for the Endeavour Vocational Education & Training Awards (VET)

Applicants must apply online and must attach the following supporting documentation:


Applicants must supply one of the following:

  • Certified/attested copy of the data page of your current passport providing evidence of your full name, date of birth, and country of citizenship. If the original document is not in English you must provide a certified/attested copy of English translation; or

  • Certified/attested copy of your birth certificate national identity card as evidence of citizenship.
  • A certified/attested copy of official documentation showing evidence of residency.

Applicants must provide one of the following to satisfy documentation requirements

  • IELTS - A certified/attested copy of an IELTS test result. The test should have been undertaken no earlier than 31 December 2006;

  • TOEFL – A certified/attested copy of a TOEFL test result. The test should have been undertaken no earlier than 31 December 2006;

  • Proof of completion of secondary study or 1 year of post secondary study conducted in English from one of the relevant countries as outlined in English Language Requirements - this may be in the form of a senior secondary certificate, academic transcript, degree certificate or vocational education certificate.

Applicants should provide evidence of their study by providing academic transcripts and certificates as follows:

  • Academic transcripts - Certified/attested copies of full academic transcripts showing the subjects and standard of pass for each.   If the transcript is not in English, provide a certified/attested English translation.  Do not include academic transcripts in the original language.  Academic transcripts must be accompanied with the explanation of the marking system.

            Transcripts may include:

    • senior secondary academic transcripts
    • any tertiary academic transcripts
    • any vocational educational academic transcripts

  • Degrees, Graduation certificates or diploma – certified/attested copies of all academic qualifications completed.
  • The employment record should cover up to the past 5 years and include, wherever possible, a letter from each employer confirming position held and period employed.
  • Applicants must provide documentation confirming their placement. Confirmation of Enrolment, Unconditional Letter of Offer or Conditional Letter of Offer will be accepted at the time of application.
  • Three Referees’ reports must be submitted on the form provided. The referee report form can be found on the online application system.  One referee report must be from a person who is familiar with the applicant’s recent academic performance or their current supervisor. The other referees may include applicant’s employers, senior colleagues, and peers. Referee’s should not be family members. Referee reports can be sent by the referee directly to DEEWR or returned to the applicant to be submitted with the other application documentation.

To certify a document as a true copy, applicants should present the original document and a copy to a Justice of the Peace, Commissioner of Oaths, Public Notary or other formally recognised authority in their home country. This official should sight both documents and certify with a stamp or a signature or both that the copy presented is a true copy of the original document. Note that the cost of any fees charged by notaries for certification of documents must be borne by the applicant.

When submitting an online application, applicants should scan the certified true copies of their supporting documents (not the originals) and attach them as PDF or Word files.
